We foster Terrapin pride by supporting student-athletes on the field and court and in the classroom and by rallying alums through programs that merge passion and purpose.

Maryland Athletics is one of the nation’s premier intercollegiate programs, racking up 47 national team championships and 16 individual ones. It’s built on a commitment to developing the talents and the character of our student-athletes and preparing them to excel in every endeavor. In the new era of revenue sharing in college sports, donor support is more important than ever to recruit and keep stellar student-athletes at Maryland. We help them thrive through gifts that support ever-evolving priorities as well as tried and true initiatives like scholarships, new and upgraded facilities and career preparation programs.

The University of Maryland Alumni Association promotes and amplifies Maryland spirit starting before a student steps on campus and extending throughout their lives. Whether distributing the “M Book”—packed with UMD traditions, fun facts and tips—to incoming first-year students or hosting events such as the First-Generation Terps Panel, the Association fosters a culture of loyal and engaged alums. It supports graduates' success in their careers through mentorship and networking programs and professional development workshops. And as a global network, the Alumni Association connects Terps through meaningful experiences and unique opportunities like Do Good Service Month. Support for the Alumni Association guarantees our ability to help Terps succeed throughout their lives.
