$1.05M to Support Math Department and Its Graduate Students

A new endowed fund established by a gift from retired Professor Charles David Levermore and his wife, Lucia, will benefit the nearly 200 graduate students in UMD's Department of Mathematics, based in Kirwan Hall. It will provide resources for them to attend conferences, acquire materials for dissertation research, and take part in internships, extracurricular activities and other enriching opportunities.
