BSOS is one of the largest and most academically challenging colleges at UMD and is home to several of the University’s most popular undergraduate majors. Our renowned departments push the boundaries of fields across the full range of the behavioral and social sciences. Departmental Enhancement Initiative
The Maryland Center for Neurodiversity will transform how our state supports people with ASD and ADHD—providing faster, low-cost clinical assessments for families, improving employment outcomes and training supportive professionals. Together, we can meet needs today, and build a national model for inclusion, research and lifelong support for neurodivergent people tomorrow.

Philanthropy makes this possible—providing paid student fellowships, launching bold interdisciplinary research and ensuring Maryland leads nationally in civic renewal at a moment when our democracy needs it most.
